While there isn’t much need for armored vehicles within Canada, that hasn’t stopped Canadian manufacturers from producing some of the most impressive offerings on the market today.

One such company, INKAS, recently showcased one of their new models at CANSEC. Dubbed the “Sentry APC,” the new addition to their production line is described as a “tactical attack and defensive vehicle designed to serve in extreme climate conditions.”

The INKAS Sentry is a unique APC in terms of technical specifications, design and assembly. A truly innovative approach was taken when designing the vehicle utilizing the best engineering solutions implemented in previous models. The Sentry APC is based on a heavy-duty truck chassis, which INKAS fully customizes to increase off-road performance, reliability, weight capacity, and agility.

When it comes to protection, the Sentry APC can deliver. The vehicle is constructed with dual protective layers and advanced armoring materials that provide protection against 7.62×51 SC ammunition and 7.62×51 M80 NATO Ball ammunition.

The Sentry APC also boasts a unique proprietary overlap system that protects the occupants from bullets that impact between the seams of doors — a common point of weakness in other armored vehicles. Configurable seating arrangements also allow the Sentry APC’s occupants to efficiently operate the vehicle while maintaining tactical positions.

INKAS’ Sentry APC was designed for used by military forces, SWAT, and other law enforcement agencies and can be customized according to the client’s requirements.

Last year, INKAS relocated their production capacities from the UAE to Toronto, Ontario to centralize its operations and boost the quality of its products for both military and civil markets.
