Starting today, a large number of military personnel and vehicles from 33 Canadian Brigade Group (CBG) will be travelling on the roads in Ontario heading to Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden.
This movement is in preparation for the government’s response to COVID-19 so that the Canadian Armed Forces is available for federal, provincial, or municipal requests for assistance (RFA).

These RFAs are expected to help support other emergencies as well, like floods and fires. From CFB Borden, soldiers will be positioned to support and react to the needs requested by collaborating with civilian partners.
Local residents can expect to see the movement of vehicles on Ontario roads starting today, Monday, April 6, 2020.
