AgustaWestland has signed an agreement for its first Canadian supply centre, according to Aerospace and Defence News. The centre will be operated by Chartright Executive Helicopters in Toronto.
The Finmeccanica company said the centre will allow closer proximity of materials to a growing customer base and fleet of aircraft in Canada and will carry in excess of 600 part numbers to serve AW109s, AW119s, and AW139s.
“Improving spare parts delivery is a priority, and this new supply centre in Canada will allow our customers to reduce downtime and maintenance costs as parts will be available closer to improve efficiency in their operations,” said Michael Hotze, Vice President of Customer Support and Training, AgustaWestland Philadelphia.
Previously authorized as an official Service Centre for AgustaWestland commercial helicopters, Chartright Executive Helicopters is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) and provides maintenance and support service to the growing number of AgustaWestland helicopters in the region.
