The Canadian Forces Liaison Council has recognized Thales Canada for its support of the Canadian Cadet Program.
In November, the Council presented its Employer Support Award to Michel Lamarche, general manager of Thales Canada Defence and Security, for his support of Lieutenant-Colonel André F. Raymond, a Reserve officer and an employee of Thales who serves as Commanding Officer of the Valcartier Cadet Training Centre.
Thales has given Raymond the opportunity, time and flexibility to occupy a role that has a direct impact on more than two thousand young people and three hundred members of the Cadet Instructor Cadre and civilian personnel.
The Canadian Cadet Program offers young people from 12 to 18 years old free opportunities to develop leadership among young Canadians. Through safe activities, cadets learn to meet the challenges of a modern and competitive society.
The CFLC is a group of educators and civil sector business leaders who devote time and energy to promote Canada’s Reserve Force by highlighting the benefits acquired by the work place from the training and experience gained within the Reserve.
