Airbus Helicopters delivered four new H135 helicopters to Poland’s public air medical rescue operator LPR (Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe) bringing the unit’s total H135 fleet to 27.
The Warsaw-based LPR ordered the aircraft as part of a plan to extend its helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) operations.
The agreement to deliver the four H135 helicopters was signed back in August 2015, following a competitive public tender won by Airbus Helicopters.

So far, the LPR fleet of H135 aircraft has logged an average availability rate of more than 95 per cent, according to Airbus.
Apart from the required equipment and avionics, the aircraft have full NVG certification and come with a state-of-the-art EMS cabin, the company said.
“We also ensure that these aircraft can be autonomously maintained in-country and in full accordance with the operator’s requirements,” said Mickael Peru, managing director at Airbus Helicopters Polska.
The H135, which was formerly known as the Eurocopter EC135, is a twin-engine civil helicopter. It entered service in 1996 and is widely used by police and ambulance services as well as executive transport.
