Vancouver’s MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates has recently signed two multi-million dollar contracts for satellite ground stations.

The first, with Collecte Localisation Satellites of France, will involve a RADARSAT-2 ground station in Bali, Indonesia and three years of RADARSAT maritime information to support the detection of illegal fishing activity and marine pollution.

The second, with DigitalGlobe, involves a new international Direct Access Facility ground station for an unspecified customer to task, collect and process imagery from the WorldView-1 and WorldView-2 satellites.
