The F-35 continues to produce more teaming agreements at the Paris Airshow. Earlier this week, Magellan Aerospace announced a memorandum of agreement with BAE Systems to provide over 1,000 sets of horizontal tails for the F-35A, the conventional take-off and landing (CTOL) variant, for a 20-year period.

The announcement formalized a strategic relationship between the two companies.

Magellan already produces parts for all three variants of the Joint strike Fighter and has achieved sales of over CDN$100 million on the program to date. This latest agreement will involve horizontal tail assemblies using components with advanced composite manufacturing and machining capabilities and has a potential value of over CDN$1.2 billion over the life of the program. The company says it’s potential manufacturing work on the program could reach $2 billion.
