At CANSEC 2026, Canadian defense manufacturer and systems integrator INKAS® Defense and Aerospace unveiled two new additions to its growing defense portfolio, signaling a deeper push into integrated multi-domain operations. The company introduced the INKAS® Modular Light Tactical Vehicle (MLTV) platform alongside the INKAS® ANURI Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), expanding its capabilities across both ground and air domains.
The announcements build on the momentum generated by last month’s reveal of the M1 MRAP, a next-generation mine-resistant armored vehicle developed through a Canadian–French collaboration with KNDS Mobility. Together, the launches underscore INKAS®’s evolving role within the allied defense ecosystem as it broadens its portfolio of modular and mission-focused platforms.
A New Generation of Tactical Mobility
Developed through a joint program with INEOS Automotive and WELP Group, the INKAS® MLTV has been designed as a modern replacement for aging light utility vehicle fleets operating across military and institutional environments.

Built on a proven OEM platform with full factory-backed engineering and lifecycle support, the MLTV is engineered around modularity and mission adaptability. The vehicle can be rapidly configured for a range of operational requirements, including armored transport, reconnaissance, MEDEVAC, assault operations, and search and rescue missions.
A defining feature of the platform is its scalable bolt-on protection system, which enables protection upgrades without compromising structural integrity or mobility. The modular approach is intended to provide defense organizations with greater operational flexibility while supporting long-term readiness across diverse operating environments.
“Legacy fleets are plagued by limited protection against modern threats and also a high sustainment burden,” said David Khazanski CEO at INKAS®. “This is why the INKAS® MLTV marks a new advancement in the armored light tactical vehicle market. Our platform offers lifecycle support, while being engineered for modularity, mission adaptability, and modern operational mobility.”
Countering the Drone Threat
INKAS® also used CANSEC to introduce the ANURI UAV, a modular AI-guided counter-UAS interceptor designed for critical site defense and deployed force protection.

The system has been engineered to detect, track, and neutralize drone threats with a reported time-to-target of under 80 seconds at distances up to five kilometres. Designed as a highly deployable counter-UAS platform, the ANURI can be launched through quad-rotor extended vertical takeoff and landing (X-VTOL), silo, vehicle, or hand launch methods without requiring a prepared launch site.
Its modular twist-lock nose allows operators to rapidly swap between warhead, sensor, or AI guidance configurations in seconds, while operations can be conducted through either First-Person View (FPV) pilot control or AI-assisted terminal guidance with the operator remaining on-the-loop.
The UAV has been designed to defeat consumer, commercial, and modified FPV drone threats traveling at speeds exceeding 400 km/h, while maintaining effectiveness in GNSS-denied environments through inertial navigation and AI visual terminal homing.

“The threat landscape has changed fundamentally for critical site defense and force protection due to low-cost drones,” said Margarita Simkin, Chairwoman at INKAS®. “We designed the ANURI UAV to be an attritable counter-UAS interceptor platform that meets today’s operational realities without relying solely on exquisite defensive systems. Modularity is at its core, enabling operators to rapidly deploy the system, even via hand launch, while supporting payload reconfiguration in seconds.”
Building a Broader Defense Ecosystem
The dual product launch highlights a broader industry trend toward modular, rapidly adaptable systems capable of operating across multiple domains while reducing sustainment burdens and improving operational flexibility.
Defense and security professionals attending CANSEC 2026 were invited to view the MLTV platform at booth 4201 and the ANURI UAV at booth 4202, where INKAS® is showcasing its expanding portfolio of integrated defense solutions.
