The proliferation of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) information is radically changing the landscape of the military and intelligence community. Countries are now following a strategy of information superiority to defend against a broad range of threats, whether they be asymmetrical, nuclear or mass armies.

A herculean effort has been directed at collecting data through satellites, unmanned vehicles and the monitoring of social media and other information sources.

The processing and analysis of this information mostly happen in a secure command and control operations centre, often with joint forces (across branches as well as countries) working together. The current focus of the men and women who design and operate these command centres is “Instant Situational Awareness;” that is, “how can I use the ISR information sources available to me to give me a full and instant picture of the situation?”

Delivery of this “Instant Situational Awareness” is complicated by a large number of available sources and networks, arriving with different classification levels and needing to be made available to the right person at the right time while respecting access authorities and Information Assurance governance.

At C4ISR and Beyond 2018, hear more about this subject with a presentation from an expert at Thinklogical who will look at how design factors for the C3 centre can address:

• Simplifying management of multiple networks, at multiple classifications and personnel with different access rights. All through a single approved infrastructure.
• Improving ergonomics, reliability, physical security.
• Increase efficiency and “up time” through rapid reconfiguration of the infrastructure
• Reduce up-front IT and AV infrastructure expense while lowering long-term total cost of ownership.

The C4ISR and Beyond event is hosted by Vanguard magazine. It is a one day conference that will bring together stakeholders from industry, military and government to discuss lessons learned, share technological advancement and its impact within the industry.

This event will take place on January 30, 2018, at Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa. Register today to take advantage of the early bird rate which ends on December 23, 2017.
