In The Art of War, Sun Tzu writes, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” This adage still holds to this day, where battles are not just won over land, air or sea but also in the digital realm.
In the digital world, data plays an important part in helping us to understand the bigger picture and make proper decisions. This is the same in the defence field where having a grasp of cyberspace and the many threats that come with it is critical to safeguard a nation and its citizens from cyberattacks.
To help us get a better understanding of the complexities of this matter and how data can be used more effectively in defence and security operations, Vanguard is hosting its sixth C4ISR and Beyond conference at the end of this month. Executives from the government, military, and industry will participate in the exceptional conference on the theme: The Loose Language of Digital.
The one-day event will take place on January 28 at The Westin in Ottawa. You can expect a dynamic exchange of valuable knowledge and ideas among conference participants and the respected panel of speakers whose professional training and experiences are critical within C4ISR.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by BGen D.J. Anderson, Director General Readiness, CJOC and Ms Sharon Woods, Director and Program Manager for the Cloud Computing Program Office (CCPO) in the U.S. Department of Defence (DoD), Office of the Chief Information Officer.
Other speakers from the security industry, military and government will share their views on technological advancements and their impacts within the defence industry.
The conference is scheduled to start with registration and breakfast at 07:00 AM and then move right on to the opening keynote presentation by BGen D.J. Anderson.
