These topics will be discussed in one day at the upcoming Ship Tech Forum to be held in Ottawa. The agenda for the event is designed with plenary and panel sessions to facilitate a discussion format among senior industry, government and military executives.
Attendees will learn from presentations about using the power of superclusters to assist in the commercialization of ocean and marine technologies and a look at certification for fusion welding. Panelists will discuss the digital twin in the shipbuilding – ship management and operations space – and how to navigate this emerging field. Other panels will focus on the lessons from the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) with Scott Jamieson, Vice President of Programs at Irving Shipbuilding Inc. and John McCarthy, Chief Program Officer at Seaspan Shipyards – the two primes. They will delve into what needs to be done to ensure the success of the NSS and what has been achieved to date.
The conference will close off with a showcase of innovative technologies for vessel performance optimization.
