Montreal-based Revision Military will supply the Canadian Armed Forces with its Batlskin Bullet Resistant Plates, a lighter weight ballistic plate, following the award of a $9.5 million contract this week. The lighter kit is part of an ongoing effort to reduce the weight load carried by most soldiers on operations. The contract also calls for special training plates and a carrier for when the equipment is not being worn.

We expect that this contract will be a springboard for gaining additional ballistic plate business from other advanced militaries in the coming months and years.”
Revision currently supplies the CAF with Ballistic Eyewear (both spectacles and goggles) as well as helmets. Initial deliveries for the body armour contract will begin in April 2014.
