MDA to continue UAV services for Australia

Richmond-based MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates will continue to provide Unmanned Aerial Vehicle surveillance service for the Australian Defence Force in Kandahar Airfield until the end of 2014.

MDA made the announcement late last week. The company, which also provide UAV services to the Canadian Armed Forces during its mission in southern Afghanistan, has been supporting the Australian Forces in theatre since 2010 with real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information for ground commanders.
