MAN Diesel & Turbo Canada held an industry day last week to showcase its PrimeServ Service Centre in Halifax to regional companies.
The event, which focused on MAN Diesel & Turbo’s efforts around the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy, was organized in cooperation with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the Atlantic Alliance of Aerospace and Defence Associations and attracted over 75 representatives from small and medium-sized businesses.
In addition to presentations from MAN Diesel & Turbo and ACOA and AAADA, the event included a session from Nova Scotia company Atlantic Hardchrome on its current work with the Halifax service centre to illustrate how other companies could benefit from a similar relationship. MAN Diesel & Turbo also met one-on-one with 26 different companies.
