ESL Labs, an environmental and EMI/EMC test facility and subsidiary of J-Squared Technologies Inc., commemorated a multiyear, $10M upgrade with a visit on July 10 from Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston.

The facility has introduced several advanced testing systems:

“Nova Scotia has a proud history with the Royal Canadian Navy, and I’m pleased to see this legacy continue through new innovations to support our defence industry,” Houston stated in a press release. “As Canada puts a renewed focus on defence, ESL Labs is showing the world why Nova Scotia will continue to be a leader in marine and defence technologies.”

The upgraded infrastructure allows the MIL-STD certified test lab to carry out broader and larger-scale testing for military applications—including the River Class Destroyer program—as well as other marine and defense equipment and systems.

“While this is a significant milestone in ESL Labs’ evolution, this in no way means we’ve reached our destination,” Jeff Gibson, CEO of J-Squared Technologies stated in a press release. “We’re committed to continued investment in talent and infrastructure to be North America’s premium testing resource for the defence, marine, aerospace, and energy sectors.”

ESL Labs specializes in high-quality environmental, mechanical, chemical, and electromagnetic testing for sectors including military, marine, oil and gas, aerospace, and medical. Throughout every stage of product development, ESL helps clients meet demanding standards for qualification, certification, validation, and regulatory compliance.

J-Squared Technologies Inc. has more than 30 years of experience supporting and supplying the North American electronics marketplace. Each division offers specific skills and services to address customers’ product lifecycle requirements.
