In a bold move to support the defense sector, Zeal Motor Inc., the company behind the acclaimed FAT TRUCK®, has officially launched its latest division: FAT TRUCK® DEFENSE. This new branch of the company underscores Zeal Motor’s dedication to providing cutting-edge mobility solutions in challenging environments such as energy infrastructure, mining exploration, search and rescue, and military operations.
The creation of the FAT TRUCK® DEFENSE division focuses on two primary goals. First, it aims to enhance mobility in Arctic conditions with specially designed models for cargo logistics, personnel transport, and search and rescue missions. Second, it seeks to advance a unique partnership with Rheinmetall Canada, a leading defense supplier. This collaboration will see Rheinmetall’s state-of-the-art autonomous vehicle technology integrated into the FAT TRUCK® platform, resulting in the Mission Master family of uncrewed ground systems (UGSs).
Maxim O’Shaughnessy, President of Zeal Motor, commented, “The FAT TRUCK® was tested in the Arctic, where it performed exceptionally at temperatures as low as -46°C. Capable of traveling at 40 kph on Arctic land and 5 kph on water, as well as climbing steep icy hills and vertical walls, the FAT TRUCK® meets rigorous safety standards and adds remarkable new capabilities to operational readiness. Our team is dedicated to supporting the defense market with innovative mobility solutions. Our new factory is equipped to meet growing demands, and we are committed to providing responsive support for our products and users in the field. The creation of a dedicated defense division aligns with our strategic plan to further develop innovative off-road vehicle solutions and expand production capacity.”
Zeal Motor is also investing heavily in its future, with ongoing developments in its research and development center and the inauguration of a new manufacturing facility to cater to the increasing demand for its innovative off-road products.
For those attending CANSEC in Ottawa from May 29-30, 2024, Zeal Motor will showcase the FAT TRUCK® 8X8 Cargo and the full range of Rheinmetall Mission Master UGSs.
