Vanguard Partners with Wounded Warriors Canada to Support Veterans, First Responders and their Families

Vanguard magazine is pleased to announce a new partnership formed exclusively with Wounded Warriors Canada – a leading mental health service provider benefiting ill and injured Veterans, First Responders and their families. The new alliance will provide education, awareness, and funds to ensure those who serve our country at home and abroad receive the mental health support they deserve in their time of need. Through this partnership, Vanguard will be donating a portion of all subscription proceeds from its magazine subscriptions to Wounded Warriors Canada.

“The ‘Supporting Heroes’ campaign is a new venture for Vanguard and is our way of giving back to those men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect Canadians at home and abroad,” said Terri Pavelic, Editor-in-Chief, Vanguard. “So, by subscribing to our magazine, readers receive a very high-quality magazine and are supporting Canada’s Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families.”

To provide more information on this program and how it works, Vanguard has developed a new web page to show individuals and organizations how they can participate in this campaign. It’s a great opportunity to give back to those that risked their lives for their country. The program also offers a supporting partner sponsorship, that will provide defence companies and organizations to also support this worthy cause, while receiving branding and marketing recognition as sponsors.

“The collaboration with Vanguard and Wounded Warriors Canada is a trade media ‘first’ and we are very excited about this program,” said J. Richard Jones, Vanguard radio show host and publisher of Vanguard. “A new marketing campaign will be rolled out in the next few weeks to activate the subscription program and to provide more information about how we are helping to support these Canadian heroes.”

Vendors from the security and defence industry can get involved too. The Vanguard marketing team has built some very robust programs that they can take advantage of. “There are social media, lead gen, radio and corporate sponsorship packages available at reduced media rates, as further incentive to get behind this worthy cause,” added Jones.

Scott Maxwell, Executive Director of Wounded Warriors Canada, commented, “We have created an innovative approach to mental healthcare that uses clinical best practices and evidence-informed care to create an environment of compassion, resiliency, and hope for Canada’s ill and injured Veterans, First Responders and their families. Our life-changing programs would simply not be possible without the support from caring and compassionate Canadians and Canadian businesses like Vanguard and their supporters.”
