Science & Technology taking Adaptive Dispersed Operations to the next level

We have been hearing a lot about Adaptive Dispersed Operations (ADO) over the years, but today being at the position where technology is bursting all around us, coupled with the advancement of science, what would the next level of ADO look like?

At the C4ISR and Beyond event to be held on February 2 in Ottawa, this topic will be discussed during a panel session by MGen Omer Lavoie, OMM, MSC, CD, Commander 1st Canadian Division, Col Darrell Russel, Director Canadian Army Land Warfare Centre and Daniel Landry, Joint Targeting Programme Manager, ADM (S&T) DGSTJFD.

MGen Lavoie has been privileged and honoured to have commanded troops at all rank levels from platoon to division. His formation level command appointments include Commander 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, Commander Land Force Central Area and Commander of 4th Canadian Division, and is currently commanding 1st Canadian Division in Kingston, Ontario.

The discussion will centre around three areas to provide a better perspective of C4ISR and the technology as we look forward to the future from the Commander’s view, Linking C4ISR concepts to reality using technology and Targeting and the technology needed to operate in this field.
