Saab and CAE sign MOU for Canadian Patrol Submarine Project at CANSEC 2025

Saab and CAE have signed an MOU to collaborate on training and simulation solutions for Canada’s next-generation submarine fleet.

Announced at CANSEC 2025, the partnership reinforces Saab’s commitment to deliver sovereign submarine capability with Canadian industry support.

Under the agreement, Saab and CAE will explore advanced training systems for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP), ensuring Royal Canadian Navy crews receive mission-ready preparation.

“We are proud to partner with CAE, a global leader in training and simulation with deep roots in Canada,” stated Anders Carp, Deputy CEO of Saab in a press release. “This agreement underscores our approach to building a truly Canadian submarine solution, leveraging the best of Canadian expertise alongside Saab’s more than 100 years of experience in submarine design and construction.”
