OSI to provide South African Navy with navigation and C3 systems

Vancouver’s OSI Maritime Systems has received a contract to provide the South African Navy with Tactical-Asset Control and Tracking Systems. The T-ACT systems will be installed on rigid-hull inflatable boats to support maritime security operations.

According to OSI, T-ACT is a scalable navigation and command, control and communication suite designed for small craft operations that includes a variant of the company’s ECPINS designed specifically for use in confined space environments. When combined with a secure data link, communication is enabled beyond-line-of-sight between mother ships and small craft.
