L-3 MAS to provide component R&O for the U.S. Navy F/A-18 program

Montreal-based L-3 MAS has received a contract from Boeing to provide component repair and overhaul (R&O) services for U.S. Navy F/A-18 Outer Wing Panels. The deal is a follow-on to a previous contract in which L-3 MAS delivered more than 80 USN F/A-18 OWPs.

In a press release, Jacques Comtois, vice president and general manager of L-3 MAS, called the company’s re-selection “a testament to our past performance and our ongoing commitment to flawless execution, continuous improvement and long-term partnerships. We look forward to deepening our long, mutually beneficial relationship with Boeing.”

The contract is for one year with four option years. L-3 MAS will provide depot-level R&O services, including inspection, corrosion control, major component repair and/or replacement and modification of the F/A-18 OWPs.
