Grizzly named best new product

Kitchener-based Clearpath Robotics has received international recognition for its most recent robotic platform, the Grizzly Robotic Utility Vehicle. The Grizzly was named “Best New Product or Service of the Year – Industrial Products & Services” at the 10th Annual International Business Awards.

The awards, nicknamed the Stevie Awards for the Greek word “crowned,” attract over 3,000 nominations from organizations in more than 50 countries in categories ranging from Most Innovative Company, Management Team, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program and Executive of the Year.

The Grizzly RUV, which was introduced in March, is an autonomous vehicle engineered to handle harsh, dangerous environments. With four high-torque motors, rugged 26″ all-terrain tires, class-leading ground clearance, a solid steel chassis, 48V at 400Ah of power, and a base weight of 1450lbs, it is ideal for industrial applications, particularly in agriculture, mining and defense.

Clearpath Robotics will receive the Gold Stevie at a gala banquet in Barcelona, Spain on October 14.
