Mike Greenley, former VP international for General Dynamics Canada, has returned to his roots with CAE. On Thursday, the Montreal-based training and simulation systems manufacturer announced that Greenley had joined the company as vice president and general manager of its Canadian military division. The appointment means CAE “will now be operating its defence and security business activities within the Canadian market as a regional business unit,” the company said in a statement.
“Mike brings extensive experience with army, navy and air force customers that will help create new opportunities and effective delivery to our Canadian customers,” said Gene Colabatistto, group president of Military Products, Training and Services. “This new position brings added focus to ensuring our Canadian customers and business partners are supported with world-class solutions that help maintain mission readiness.”
CAE is responsible for the CF-18 mission systems and is the prime contractor on Canada’s Operational Training Systems Provider (OTSP) program, which includes in-service support for most of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s installed base of flight simulators and development and delivery of devices and and services for the new CC-130J Hercules and CH-147 Chinook aircraft.
Greenley has over 25 years of leadership experience in the defence and security sector, most recently as VP International, C4 Systems and VP, Strategy and Development, for General Dynamics Canada. Prior to that, however, he served as vice president of modelling and simulation for CAE’s military business unit and as president of CAE Professional Services. Greenley is currently the Chair of the Board of the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries.
