In a trailblazing achievement, COTA Aviation has secured a highly competitive bid to revolutionize the galley facilities aboard Canada’s Victoria-Class Submarines (VCS). This marks a historic milestone as the first instance where an indigenous company takes the helm as the primary contractor for a Royal Canadian Navy submarine modernization project.

Partnering with industry leaders Smart Galley Designs, Dawich Technical Solutions, and Babcock Canada Inc., COTA Aviation is set to usher in a new era of capabilities, with a dedicated emphasis on elevating crew health, comfort, safety, and cooking efficiency.

Embarking on the Galley Improvement Project, the COTA Aviation team will spearhead the design, manufacturing, and project management aspects for the HMCS Windsor, Victoria, Corner Brook, and Chicoutimi Submarines. Their mission: to seamlessly integrate state-of-the-art components and culinary equipment, bidding farewell to outdated counterparts.

As an enterprise deeply rooted in indigenous ownership and operation, their commitment extends beyond innovation. The team is fervently dedicated to fostering diversity and bolstering Canada’s defence capabilities. The significance of this contract solidifies their standing as a reliable purveyor of naval solutions in the aerospace and defence sectors, a testament to their unwavering dedication to excellence.
