Calian Technologies extends DND health services contract

Ottawa’s Calian Technologies has extended its Health Services Support Contract with National Defence for 18 months. The extension sets a new completion date of September 30, 2016; the deal also includes a further six month option.

Calian said the extensions would be funded by a combination of unused existing contract funds and by further increasing the contract ceiling value by $117 million.

“We are excited about the opportunity to continue our work with DND as their healthcare program delivery partner,” said Kevin Ford, president of Calian’s BTS division. “We take this extension as a full vote of confidence in our HSSC team which has consistently earned a delivery performance satisfaction rating of superior. We are fully committed to assisting DND in the provision of quality healthcare for the Canadian military.”
