CAE to launch process improvement program

Coinciding with the release of their first quarter 2016 fiscal reports, CAE has revealed plans to implement a program to transform its production processes and product offerings.

Based in Montreal, CAE has been offering comprehensive training solutions to the civil aviation, defence and security, and healthcare markets for almost 70 years.

While a longtime player in the industry, CAE believes it’s time to up their competitive position. Using their new technologies, CAE President and CEO Marc Parent believes the new program will widen the gap between CAE and its competitors.

“We have launched a new program this quarter to transform and streamline our processes and product offering for the future,” Parent said. “With it, CAE will become even more efficient in the way it engineers, manufactures and delivers its simulators. This will ensure that CAE maintains a strong leadership position in a highly dynamic market.”

For every step forward, however, there are mandatory sacrifices. Parent estimates that the change will impact 350 more people beyond CAE’s 8,000 global workforce.

“We will do everything we can to mitigate the impact on those of our employees and their families who will unfortunately be affected by these changes,” he says.
