Driving Pan-Domain Capabilities into Next Generation Military Networks
The US Department of Defense (DoD) and global military partners, including the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are undertaking a massive transformation, evolving legacy weapons-centric and network-centric operations into a data-centric environment that enables the real-time sharing of data between sensors, targets, command and control (C2), and weapons systems amongst military partners.
To support this data-centric transition the US DoD has adopted a Data Strategy that states, “The DoD is a data-centric organization that uses data at speed and scale for operational advantage and increased efficiency.”
This presentation discusses many of attributes of a data-centric network for implementing and deploying a pan-domain strategy across all military forces that, by design, includes CAF and other close coalition partners to work together to create a world dominant C2 environment.

Canadian Forces Capability Needs and Approaches
What are the aspirations, approaches, gaps and barriers in the CAF capability agenda. Less about ‘inside the project’ views, more on what is seen as needed in digital ingredients and behaviors required for the capability delivered to ultimately bring value to the CAF, mission, pan-domain operations, including multi-agency and multi-national partners in a contested operating environment, while advancing the individual contributions via the projects.

When Change is the Only Certainty: Resilient Partnerships for the Shifting Paradigm
A JADC2 strategy leverages the strength of diversity – domains, locations, data, and models. How can governments, militaries, and industry better leverage disparate technology, capabilities, and perspectives to use this strength? Recent US industry-defense efforts such as ABMS and Project Convergence as well as industry-academia partnerships such as the Carleton University-Collins Aerospace research project offer some valuable ideas and lessons learned.

Where/Why/How is DND/CAF Seeking to Drive the Realization of Outcomes of Digital Transformation
What does it take to live an effective digital journey – one that delivers real outcomes and value – now and future (and avoids/mitigates waste, risk, and failure) What are the ingredients and behaviours? Let’s frame what are the business needs and drivers? Leadership declares the need for technology and digital ingredients. It is all about delivery of the ingredients to make sure that end results are met. How do we become digitally literate?
This should be a discussion on the other aspects of digital transformation and not just technology – culture, training, education, structures, etc. What are DND and CAF and Procurement doing to create conditions for success….

Build for the Future: A path forward to help the Department of National Defense empower their workforce and make work flow
To build a resilient mission, we must consider the people driving the mission forward. What tools will modernize recruitment practices, be the ‘one-stop shop’ to enable employees on their mission, provide seamless support for their family, all while working efficiently? And how can those tools stay agile and flexible in a changing world? Join us to explore how people and systems work together. And, learn how leaders create an environment to empower innovation and mission success.

How to Procure to Partner/Partner to Procure
To ‘do digital’ and deliver results from digital transformation absolutely requires new skills, assets, experiences, talents – that can only come from partnerships….
How do you have to change your procurement process - or how do we make the current procurement process work for us - to make partnerships happen?
