Airbus Helicopters celebrated a major milestone on May 15, 2025, with the opening of its new 21,000 sq. ft. integrated distribution centre in the Niagara region, enhancing industrial operations and significantly increasing spare parts storage.

Airbus Helicopters’ new centre reinforces its commitment to Ontario and Canada’s aerospace industry, supporting more than 300 skilled jobs and strengthening its leadership in the sector. The company is also expanding collaboration with Canadian suppliers and distributors, harnessing the strong local aerospace synergy.

“The expansion of our footprint in Ontario underscores the strategic importance of Canada to Airbus’ global operations. This new integrated distribution centre represents a significant investment and a clear demonstration of our enduring commitment to innovation, local talent development, and Canadian leadership in aerospace,” said Dwayne Charette, President of Airbus Helicopters in Canada in a press release. “By deepening our roots here, we are not only proactively addressing the evolving demands of the helicopter market but also actively contributing to the economic strength and security of the region.”

The growing demand for Airbus’ advanced twin-engine helicopters, especially the H135 – selected by the Ontario Provincial Police and the Royal Canadian Air Force for the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program – necessitates expanded space for customization and completions. The new facility enables the Fort Erie centre to scall operations, supporting future growth and meeting customer needs. The Niagara centre will enhance inventory management and logistics, efficiently supporting key business areas, including helicopter completions, component repair and overhaul, advanced composite manufacturing, and spare parts distribution.
